For Support Coordinators

A familiar support worker. Clear communication. A straightforward referral.

Refer a participant for practical, one-to-one NDIS support and lived-experience peer support with Rupert. Rush Connect & Care is an independent sole trader service for people who value steady company, routine and community connection.

Current referral focus: ongoing mental health support, around 30–40 hours per week. Rupert is particularly interested in supporting a participant living with a mental health condition who needs regular practical support across the week. Hours are agreed around the participant’s needs, goals, funding and preferences, subject to service fit and availability. For ongoing arrangements of 30 hours or more per week, rates may also be negotiated to help fit the participant’s available funding, depending on the support needs, schedule and location. Any agreed pricing is confirmed in writing before support begins.

Support coordinators, plan managers, allied health professionals and service providers are welcome to enquire. Referrals are reviewed for fit and availability before any support is agreed.

The practical details

Who is a good fit?

A participant living with a mental health condition who would benefit from a familiar worker and ongoing support across several days. Support may include company, routines, community access, appointments, transport and practical goal follow-through. The focus is consistent, non-clinical support.

Where and when?

Melbourne, with a focus on the inner and northern suburbs. Share the suburb and preferred days or hours so Rupert can confirm travel, availability and whether the support is suitable.

Which funding types?

RCC is an unregistered NDIS provider. Self-managed and plan-managed referrals can be considered where the plan and support allow. RCC cannot deliver NDIA-managed funded supports.

What does it cost?

View current support rates. Hours, transport or other applicable charges, cancellations and the service agreement are discussed before support starts. A referral does not commit the participant to a booking.

Boundaries and communication

Practical, non-clinical support, not therapy, crisis response, medical care or behaviour support. With participant consent, agree how goals, progress and concerns are communicated to the referrer.

What happens after a referral?

  1. Send the basics. A short overview is enough to begin.
  2. Discuss fit. Rupert contacts you to clarify needs, location, funding and availability.
  3. Agree the next step. The participant is involved in deciding whether to proceed. Scope, pricing, communication and the service agreement are confirmed before support begins.
